XS650 1974+ Models
All seats are made to order (from 1 to 3 weeks depending when its ordered)
This seat will fit the shape of the "stock" frame - no frame hoop cutting required!
(Some de-tabbing and general clean-up will probably be required to verify seat fits flat on frame - does not work with stock fender unless fender is modified)
For Other similar Yamaha models - please contact us.
Its the same seat pan with less of a kick at the back (xs400, SR400/500 etc...)
On XS650 models - The Seat can be mounted to the stock frame cross brace with 2 studs.
2 holes need to be drilled in cross brace. (see images for reference)
Additional mounts would require some extra cross bars or tabs be welded to the frame if needed

7" wide at front
9.5" wide at middle
24" Long

Like to add to my review.
Also beware that with removing rear fender below seat that you will have decreased space for suspension travel. With 13½" Progressive shocks, a 4" (100mm) sidewall rear tire hits bottom of seat by ½". So limit suspension travel, or get shock extenders. Or you can try to find a 120/70 tire. Not sure which I'm doing.

Seat looks good. Nice work. Haven't tried it yet. I'm sure it will feel hard. Forward mounting holes right above battery. Not sure if people put a removable metal strap there or not. I used those holes to mount a tongue that goes under frame member. Then supported with rubber pads. And a bit pricey for what it is.
